Communications Assistant

Hours:  

Part-Time

This is a 25 hour per week permanent part-time position Monday through Friday. 5 hours per day are required. Start and end times are negotiable. $13/hour

Responsibilities:

Responsible for facilitating communications among internal stakeholders at Roland Park Place to include Residents, families, senior management, employees and board members. Provide office support to ensure efficiency in the sales process and provide assistance to Residents on special projects. Assist the Director of Marketing as needed.

  • Manage internal communications output in accordance with brand standards guidelines to ensure consistent framing of messages. Facilitate communication among departments and among all other internal stakeholders.
  • Edit, format, revise and print internal publications including the Resident’s Review and Resident Photo Directory in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Update notices on intranet site daily. Verify information provided and ensure HIPAA compliance. Assist and advise on requested or required modifications to the intranet site.
  • Photograph new Residents for internal use including the Residents’ Review. Assist in photo shoots with professional photographer, preparing schedule and obtain photo release forms for use in marketing materials.
  • Print and copy inserts for Marketing Brochure. Maintain inventory for marketing materials and supplies. Ensure tidy and organized work room is maintained.
  • Process application paperwork including copying, faxing, filling out forms and making follow up calls. Set up medical approval appointments in cooperation with the Marketing Associate.
  • Draft letters, newsletters, direct mail, memos, company directives and advertisements on behalf of the Director of Marketing and other marketing staff
  • Assisting with design and dissemination of marketing materials. Review/read existing marketing materials to identify pieces that need updating.
  • Assist with planning and executing prospect and professional events.
  • Follow-up with new residents to obtain names of family members for RPP mailing list. Prepare “New Family Welcome” letters, signed by the President. Establish methods of communication with new Resident contacts and organize periodic “New Family Welcome” receptions to welcome the families of new Residents.
  • Assist Residents on special projects
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Wait Staff

Hours:  

16 -20 hours per week
Float Pool staff must be able to work every other weekend

Responsibilities:

Provide quality and efficient food service to residents in elegant, formal "5-star" dining room setting. Set, serve and bus tables. Prepare beverages. Provide room service, as needed. Display friendly, courteous manner and enthusiasm as a team player.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be over 16 years of age. Must communicate well with elderly persons. Must possess the ability to read, to write legibly, and to speak clearly. Experience helpful, but not necessary. Training will be provided. Must receive an annual influenza vaccination. Must adhere to RPP's smoke-free campus policy.

RN/LPN: Health Services

Hours:  

Part-Time position 3:00pm - 11:00pm Will Alternate Holidays

Responsibilities:

Prepares, monitors and supervises the assignments of non-licensed nursing personnel. Oversees operations and activities of nursing services on assigned unit. Prepares, administers and documents all relevant data for medical records, departmental records related to resident care, MMDS, and quarterly documentation. Completes rounds on every resident on assigned unit. Notifies physician, nursing supervisor, and family/responsible party of changes in a resident's status. Monitors nutritional status, including monitoring of the dining room, tray distribution, and documentation of residents' meals. Maintains infection control standards in and/or on medication room, medication cart, treatment cart and nursing station desk area. Reviews previous shift from the preceding charge nurse. Completes current shift report on the 24 hour nursing report for the oncoming charge nurse. Follows and enforces policies, procedures and standards of facility, pharmacy and federal, state and local regulatory agencies. Assumes leadership in emergency situations, including medical emergencies, until relieved. Substitutes, as necessary, for the RN/LPN Supervisor and the Ambulatory Care Nurse. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. TRAINING: Annual CPR certification is required. EXPERIENCE: Two years previous nursing experience highly desirable. Previous experience with gerontological nursing practice preferred. OTHER: Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse of Licensed Practical Nurse in Maryland. Minimum of 18 years of age. Strongly urged to receive Hepatitis B vaccine. Must receive an annual influenza vaccination. Must adhere to RPP's smoke-free campus policy.

Painter/Mechanic

Location:  

Baltimore, Md.

Hours:  

Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Makes minor repairs and paints throughout the building as needed.
  • Makes daily floor checks and replaces light bulbs as needed.
  • Assists mechanics with preventative maintenance projects.
  • Maintains various kinds of power equipment and manual tools.
  • Participates in emergency preparation for facility contingency plans, such as fire and disaster, evacuation of residents, visitors and staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must have the ability to learn mechanical functions.
  • Two to three years of experience working as a painter/mechanic or as a maintenance helper preferred.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age. Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Must receive an annual influenza vaccination. Must adhere to RPP’s
