Wait Staff

Location:  

Main Dining Room

Dining Room Float Pool

Hours:  

16 -20 hours per week
Float Pool staff must be able to work every other weekend

Responsibilities:

Provide quality and efficient food service to residents in elegant, formal "5-star" dining room setting. Set, serve and bus tables. Prepare beverages. Provide room service, as needed. Display friendly, courteous manner and enthusiasm as a team player.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be over 16 years of age. Must communicate well with elderly persons. Must possess the ability to read, to write legibly, and to speak clearly. Experience helpful, but not necessary. Training will be provided. Must receive an annual influenza vaccination. Must adhere to RPP's smoke-free campus policy.

RN: Health Services

Hours:  

Part-Time position 3:00pm - 11:00pm Will Alternate Holidays

Responsibilities:

Prepares, monitors and supervises the assignments of non-licensed nursing personnel. Oversees operations and activities of nursing services on assigned unit. Prepares, administers and documents all relevant data for medical records, departmental records related to resident care, MMDS, and quarterly documentation. Completes rounds on every resident on assigned unit. Notifies physician, nursing supervisor, and family/responsible party of changes in a resident's status. Monitors nutritional status, including monitoring of the dining room, tray distribution, and documentation of residents' meals. Maintains infection control standards in and/or on medication room, medication cart, treatment cart and nursing station desk area. Reviews previous shift from the preceding charge nurse. Completes current shift report on the 24 hour nursing report for the oncoming charge nurse. Follows and enforces policies, procedures and standards of facility, pharmacy and federal, state and local regulatory agencies. Assumes leadership in emergency situations, including medical emergencies, until relieved. Substitutes, as necessary, for the RN Supervisor and the Ambulatory Care Nurse. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. TRAINING: Annual CPR certification is required. EXPERIENCE: Two years previous nursing experience highly desirable. Previous experience with gerontological nursing practice preferred. OTHER: Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse of Licensed Practical Nurse in Maryland. Minimum of 18 years of age. Strongly urged to receive Hepatitis B vaccine. Must receive an annual influenza vaccination. Must adhere to RPP's smoke-free campus policy.

Painter/Mechanic

Location:  

Baltimore, Md.

Hours:  

Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Makes minor repairs and paints throughout the building as needed.
  • Makes daily floor checks and replaces light bulbs as needed.
  • Assists mechanics with preventative maintenance projects.
  • Maintains various kinds of power equipment and manual tools.
  • Participates in emergency preparation for facility contingency plans, such as fire and disaster, evacuation of residents, visitors and staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must have the ability to learn mechanical functions.
  • Two to three years of experience working as a painter/mechanic or as a maintenance helper preferred.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age. Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Must receive an annual influenza vaccination. Must adhere to RPP’s
  •  smoke-free campus policy.
Housekeeper I

Location:  

Baltimore, MD

Hours:  

Monday - Friday and every 4th weekend 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep rooms and public area neat and clean.
  • Vacuums floors, clean bathrooms, dust, washes windows, empties trash, and cleans stairways, elevators, and laundry rooms and utility rooms.
  • Reports damages and missing items to Lead Housekeeper or Director of Facility Services.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping techniques helpful, but not required.
  • Must receive an annual influenza vaccination. Must adhere to RPP’s
    smoke-free campus policy.
Certified Dietary Manager

Location:

Hours:  

Full-time, Must be able to work flexible hours. 

Responsibilities:

  •      Oversees meal service operations in Healthcare and Residential Care following all federal, state and local regulations and guidelines for food service facilities regarding sanitation, maintenance and safety.  Assists in supervision of all other department areas.
  •     Hires, trains, supervises, schedules, evaluates, disciplines and coaches Healthcare and Residential Care staff on proper production, set-up, clean-up, food safety and customer service techniques.
  •       Verifies and maintains all records necessary to comply with federal, state and local regulatory guidelines including HACCP cold storage, cooking and dishwashing logs. Communicates any non-compliant issues to the Director of Dining Services in a timely manner.  Maintains a presence in the dining areas during service hours, observing employee performance, coaching to enhance staff skill sets, addressing customer concerns in a timely manner and documenting information in order to provide a resource for corrective actions.
  •     Develops, maintains and administers a Customer Service Training Manual.  Manual is used for initial training and as a base for on going staff training and corrective actions.
  •      Plans and conducts mandatory, monthly training sessions with service staff in all areas.
  •     Insures adherence to established spreadsheets and meal plans by direct observation and conducting weekly test tray and accuracy audits.
  •     Completes resident charting and care planning to insure the highest degree of resident care and customer satisfaction possible. Meets with new residents within 24 hours.
  •     Acts as the sole department manager in the absence of other management team members.
  •        Attends and participates in the resident Town Meetings.  Presents summary of meeting to management team and staff.
  •       Prepares bi-weekly schedules ensuring adequate staffing levels are in place to provide effective service.  Schedules are submitted to the Office Coordinator a minimum of one week prior to the start date.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: A high school diploma is requiered, but would prefer two year college degree. TRAINING:    Certified Dietary Manager certification (CDM) required. Maryland Sanitation Certificate preferred.  EXPERIENCE:  Two years supervisory experience in a CCRC or Healthcare Foodservice operations. OTHER: Must be able to work flexible hours.
